چکیده
We prove an existential version of Gaifman’s locality theorem and show how it can be applied algorithmically to evaluate existential first-order sentences in finite structures.

Gaifman’s locality theorem states that every first-order sentence is equivalent to a local sentence. We show that there is no elementary bound on the length of the local sentence in terms of the original. Gaifman’s theorem is an essential ingredient in several algorithmic meta theorems for first order logic. Our result has direct implications for the running time of the algorithms. The classica...
متن کاملBuilding independence relations in abstract elementary classes
We study general methods to build forking-like notions in the framework of tame abstract elementary classes (AECs) with amalgamation. We show that whenever such classes are categorical in a high-enough cardinal, they admit a good frame: a forking-like notion for types of singleton elements. Theorem 0.1 (Superstability from categoricity). Let K be a (< κ)-tame AEC with amalgamation. If κ = iκ > ...

Let a > Z . In [4], the authors address the locality of anti-positive fields under the additional assumption that ‖W‖·N ⊃ exp−1 (e · 2). We show that there exists a right-Minkowski–Hippocrates and complete isometric group equipped with an analytically non-Bernoulli topological space. This leaves open the question of naturality. In this setting, the ability to characterize Pappus, super-Weyl, ev...
متن کاملUnderstanding Harim in Architecture with a Phenomenological Approach
Architecture reflects the human perception of their existential relations with the world andtherefore it creates meaningful places. Every place with its boundaries concretizes a Harim, whichis the manifestation of such existential relations. This interrelation between the boundary (Marz)and the Harim may cause us to assume them both the same, but these two are different. Althoughevery Harim has...
متن کاملNon-separability does not relieve the problem of Bell’s theorem
This paper addresses arguments that “separability” is an assumption of Bell’s theorem, and that abandoning this assumption in our interpretation of quantum mechanics (a position sometimes referred to as “holism”) will allow us to restore a satisfying locality principle. Separability here means that all events associated to the union of some set of disjoint regions are combinations of events ass...
